Prof. Qin was invited to attend the Pacifichem 2025!秦芳菲副教授受邀参加 2025 年环太平洋化学大会！
The 2025 International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies (Pacifichem 2025) was held in Honolulu, Hawaii from December 15 to 20, 2025. Co-hosted by seven chemical societies around the Pacific Rim — the Chinese Chemical Society, the Chemical Institute of Canada, the American Chemical Society, the Chemical Society of Japan, the Korean Chemical Society, the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry and the Royal Australian Chemical Institute — and held every five years since 1984, this ninth edition of the congress gathered more than 10,000 delegates from China, the USA, Japan, Canada, Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Singapore and other countries under the theme “Building Communities to Address Global Challenges”.
Invited by the congress organizers and colleagues at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Prof. Qin Fangfei attended the meeting. She chaired a session on “Frontiers in Epigenetics”, which took up half a day on the first day of the congress and featured eight oral presentations from Harvard University, Boston College and Purdue University in the US, Osaka University and Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences in Japan, and Westlake University, Zhejiang University and Shenzhen Bay Laboratory in China. Prof. Qin hosted the introduction of speakers and the Q&A sessions throughout, energizing the room and sparking waves of lively academic discussion that continued through the coffee breaks.
Prof. Qin also presented a poster entitled “Chromatinized Spatial Proteomics for Precision Genome Regulation”, which attracted strong interest from researchers at Stanford University, Emory University, the University of Texas at Dallas, the University of Tokyo and beyond, laying a solid foundation for further international collaboration. Her group will continue to advance chromatinized spatial-omics research and contribute to precision genome regulation and precision medicine.
“Attending this congress was not only a chance to broaden my academic horizons, but also an opportunity to bring my own research into the development of international chemistry,” Prof. Qin recalled. “Exchanges with peers from around the world help explore collaboration opportunities, and allow me to bring international experience directly back to Tianjin University — benefiting student education and our research.”
美国夏威夷当地时间 2025 年 12 月 15–20 日，第九次环太平洋化学大会（The 2025 International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies，简称 Pacifichem 2025）在美国夏威夷檀香山举行。该大会由环太平洋地区七个化学学会——中国化学会、加拿大化学会、美国化学会、日本化学会、韩国化学会、新西兰化学会、澳大利亚皇家化学会——联合主办，始于 1984 年、每五年举办一次，是全球化学界公认的顶级盛会。本次大会以“Building Communities to Address Global Challenges（凝聚社群，应对全球挑战）”为主题，吸引了来自中国、美国、日本、加拿大、韩国、新西兰、澳大利亚、德国、英国、法国、荷兰、瑞士、意大利、新加坡等国家的 10000 余位代表参会交流。
受太平洋化学会会务组及 Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center 等人之邀，天津大学医学部生命科学学院英才副教授秦芳菲参会。会上，秦芳菲主持了“表观遗传前沿（Frontiers in Epigenetics）”分会场，分会利用会议首日半天时间，包含 8 个口头汇报，涵盖美国 Harvard University、Boston College、Purdue University，日本 Osaka University、Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences，以及国内西湖大学、浙江大学、深圳湾实验室等。秦芳菲全程负责报告人的引荐与提问环节，有效调动了会场气氛，推动现场掀起一波又一波热烈的学术讨论。
秦芳菲还进行了题为“Chromatinized Spatial Proteomics for Precision Genome Regulation”的海报展示，吸引了来自美国 Stanford University、Emory University、University of Texas at Dallas，日本 University of Tokyo 等多名研究者观看交流，为后期更进一步的学术合作奠定了坚实的基础。她也将带领团队继续推进染色质空间组学研究，在精准医疗调控中贡献力量。
秦芳菲回忆说，参加这次交流会“不仅是学术视野的全面拓展，更是将自身科研与前沿研究、创新思维纳入国际化学发展的良好机会。与全球同行的交流，可以更好地探讨合作交流机会，同时，也能够将国际先进经验直接带回国内、带回天津大学，为全面做好学生教育、推进天津大学科研工作提供借鉴和帮助”。
